    Fossil Mammal Archive

Post  fossilhunter on Sun May 20, 2012 9:31 am

Please put pictures of your own mammal fossils on here, to create an archive of mammal fossils to help identify mammal fossils.

1a. This is a fragment of one of the gigantic front teeth from a hippo from Java.
1b. This is a hippo molar from Java.
1c. These are giant armadillo scutes from the USA.
1d. This is a section of walrus tusk.

All of these fossils were bought from Jurassic Jim. Some of them are very hard to find elsewhere on the internet...

My mammoth and elephant teeth and bones.

On the far left is a bit of mammoth limb.
To the top right there is a bit of elephant limb from West Runton.(bought from Jurassic Jim (google him!))
Below it there is a pygmy mammoth tooth.
To the right of that there is a small mammoth tooth.
Behind that is a mammoth tooth I found in the Cotswolds.

Thank you, the tooth is from South Carolina, USA.

I have a much bigger one, but that one is not a fossil, but still old.
